Dental implants have grown tremendously in popularity as Troy, MI area patients begin to learn more about these permanent restorations. Used to replace one or more missing teeth, dental implants have become the treatment of choice for adults interested in repairing their smile after tooth loss. Dental implants are restorations made of titanium. They are shaped like screws and are placed into the jawbone. At John L. Aurelia, DDS, PLLC this is done during a gentle oral surgery.
Dental implants are popular because of the many benefits they provide. They are:
- Long-lasting
- Prevents bone resorption
- Non-removable
- Easily restorable
- Natural in appearance
- Strong and stable
- Durable
- Easily maintained
- Affordable
- Hold their value
- Versatile
John L. Aurelia, DDS, PLLC provides not only dental implants for patients in the Troy, MI area but bridges and dentures. All three of these options are effective in repairing the function and aesthetics of the smile, but should be chosen based on ones candidacy for treatment, budget, and specific desires. Patients seeking a permanent option are often interested in dental implants.
Dental implants require enough bone structure of the jaw to ensure successful placement, so our dental team will first perform a thorough evaluation including x-rays to check the health of the jaw.
