Close the gap in your smile with permanent dental bridges in MI

Close teeth gap with permanent dental bridges from dentist in MI

Missing teeth will leave a gap in your smile. A permanent dental bridge closes that gap, restoring appearance and functionality to the smile. At the office of Dr. John Aurelia, DDS, we are committed to restoring our patients’ oral health. When patients are missing teeth, permanent dental bridges are an excellent solution to bring the smile back to life.

The importance of replacing missing teeth

A missing tooth isn’t just a cosmetic problem. If you do not replace the missing tooth or teeth, remaining teeth will gradually drift into the space. When this occurs, your bite changes, which can cause wear on the teeth and lead to breaks and cracks. People who do not replace missing teeth are often faced with more extensive dental restoration in the future.

What are dental bridges?

Dental bridges utilize one or more false teeth to fill in the gaps left by missing teeth. Bridges are supported by the teeth on each side of the gap.

Advantages of dental bridges:

  • They look like natural teeth which gives you the confidence to talk, smile, and laugh.
  • Fixed dental bridges are a permanent restoration
  • Dental bridges keep healthy teeth from becoming worn
  • Dental bridges are custom fabricated so they will feel comfortable.

Dental bridges can be made of many different materials including alloys or porcelain. The longevity of the dental bridge depends on the health of the teeth that support it. It is important for patients with dental bridges to practice good oral hygiene to ensure these teeth stay healthy. Maintaining regular dental appointments is also important to have the bridge checked and professionally cleaned.
When it comes to missing teeth, you want an expert to restore your smile. If you are in Rochester Hills, MI call Dr. Aurelia’s office today at (248) 243-6044 to schedule an appointment.

I can't say enough good about Dr. Aurelia AND all of his staff. To me it's not like going to the dentist, it's like a family reunion. His whole staff is very polite, constantly smiling, they listen to your needs and explain your treatment very well. I'm always so happy to see them no matter what work I'm having done, their common courtesy and chair side manner makes all my anxiety melt away. They work together amazingly as a team, their work is impressive and should you need shots, the way he gives them makes it not all that bad. All of his hygienists are fantastic, I've seen them all and do not have a preference because they are all just as good as each other and are all sweet as can be. I will always continue to see them for all of my dental needs simply because it feels like home.
