When should I see a dentist?

The “standard” is every six months, and that’s for a comprehensive exam, plus professional cleaning. We also conduct oral cancer screenings. Every patient is different. If you have risk factors, such as certain genetic markers for aggressive gum disease, we’ll want to check on you more frequently. If it’s been a while since your last visit, nonsurgical periodontal treatment or a deep cleaning may be needed to restore gum health and will require follow-up appointments to track your healing.

What should I expect from treatment?
