Realigning crooked teeth has never been easier! Thanks to Invisalign invisible braces, teenagers and adults can enjoy a straighter, more beautiful smile without the use of traditional orthodontics. Many patients don't enjoy hiding their smile behind metal brackets and wires during months of orthodontic treatment. Thanks to advances in dental technologies, patients of
John L. Aurelia, DDS, PLLC can now use invisible aligner trays to straighten teeth and provide a more appealing smile in the same amount of time as they could with metal braces.
Invisalign starts out as a computer-aided 3D impression that is taken of a patient's teeth. This digital impression is converted by software that can assist both dentist and patient in getting a visualization of how the treatment process will work. Digital images of your teeth are taken, and then before and after images are rendered and a treatment plan is drawn out. The length of treatment will vary from patient to patient, depending upon the severity of the misalignment and the way teeth respond throughout treatment.
These digital impressions are then sent to a laboratory where a series of aligner trays will be fabricated. These trays are made specifically for various stages of the treatment. The trays are worn for two weeks, and are then switched out to the next tray in the series. The number of trays used during treatment will vary. These aligner trays are made with clear, medical-grade plastic that is nearly invisible to others when worn.
The trays are worn at all times. While they are removable for eating and cleaning, they are to be worn day and night to get the best results. Patient compliance is important when it comes to seeing the results of Invisalign treatment. Without compliance, teeth will not shift properly and treatment time may be delayed.
Dr. John L. Aurelia offers Invisalign for patients who want to avoid the traditional metal braces and have a better overall experience with their orthodontic treatment. Teenagers and adults can receive Invisalign treatment, and are encouraged to schedule a consultation with Dr. John L. Aurelia of Rochester Hills to learn more about the benefits that they can provide.

I have been bouncing around to dentists' offices for the past four years trying to find one that (1) doesn't hurt my face and mouth and (2) doesn't gross me out. My most recent dentist prior to Dr. Aurelia reeked of smoke and insisted on not wearing gloves when he fit my bite guard because otherwise it wouldn't fit properly. After that disgusting experience, I was out of there and dentist-less once again. I came across some Google reviews for Dr. Auerlia and thought I'd give his office a try. At the very least, it couldn't be worse than the last guy, right?
Even though Dr. Aurelia is out of network for my insurance, his office is well worth the extra out of pocket cost. His office got me in for an initial consult almost immediately because I had some pain concerns. They identified the issues right away and helped me get into a specialist for (another) root canal (on the same tooth - the horror!) the next day. I needed a filling in between my two front teeth and he was able to do the filling without novocain and I didn't feel a thing. I have my first cleaning next week so I will find out then how efficient they are with that (it took 90 solid minutes of my mouth being agape at my last dentist which is way too long), which is my last area of general wonderment about the quality of services provided. I can't imagine I'll need to find a new dentist anytime soon. If you are looking for an office full of helpful and friendly people and want high-quality, timely, and cost-conscious (i.e., won't do unnecessary work to get more monies) dental care, I highly recommend checking out Dr. Aurelia's office.
